We have arrived in Poznan, despite ‘unexpected’ weather conditions which included snow, freezing fog and rain. Today’s meetings focused more on what was going on in Brussels this week and than what was being discussed in Poznan. Clearly the world is awaiting for Europe to decide its position on the climate change package. Meetings with NGOs were quite downbeat and negative. Meeting Commissioner Dimas and colleagues from UNEP, FAO tomorrow will provide inspiration about the progress of the talks in Poznan. J.W.
